Supervisors for INSPIRE projects are academic staff from:

  1. University of Southampton departments of Ocean and Earth Science, Civil & Environmental Engineering, Geography and Environmental Science, Archaeology and Physics & Astronomy,
  2. National Oceanography Centre,
  3. British Antarctic Survey,
  4. Marine Biological Association,
  5. Natural History Museum.

Researchers from Collaborative Partner institutions can also be co-supervisors.

The researchers involved span all three themes of INSPIRE:

  1. oceans and climate,
  2. the dynamic Earth, and
  3. interaction of organisms with the global environment.
